Tenor Saxophones

The tenor saxophone is the choice of players who want a warm, deep sound, from jazz to classical to pop. At Twigg Musique, our new tenor saxophones range from about $995 for an entry-level model to over $12,000 for a professional instrument.

Student (about $1,000 to $2,500)

The Yamaha YTS-26, the Selmer STS301, the Twigg TTS-1958 and the Sinclair STS2400 offer reliable mechanics to get started without overspending.

Intermediate (about $2,500 to $5,000)

The Yamaha YTS-280 and YTS-480, the BetterSax Session, the Selmer STS511, the P. Mauriat PMST-185 and our Twigg models suit players who are progressing seriously.

Professional (from $5,000)

The Yamaha YTS-82Z, the Yanagisawa TWO2 and Elite TWO10 and the Selmer Paris Signature are made for advanced players. Twigg Musique is the exclusive Yamaha and Selmer Paris distributor in Quebec.

The tenor, pitched in B♭, is longer and heavier than the alto: try it in store to confirm the comfort. To lower the entry price, browse our second-hand saxophones. To protect your instrument, explore our saxophone cases. Our team in Montreal and Quebec City can have you try several models before you buy.
