Gold frame. Four cords. Nothing touching your mouthpiece.
The H4G suspends your reed on aerospace-grade cordage — the same high-tensile class trusted on NASA Mars landing systems — in a gold twin-beam frame with four fine tuners.
- Four fine tuners for precise cord placement and response
- Zero-stretch cord that molds to your mouthpiece over time
- No metal on the mouthpiece — your tone stays your tone
- Ships with the OmniCap mouthpiece cap and a utility pouch
A ligature’s only real job is to hold the reed without getting in its way. The H4G does it with four cords built for spaceflight, a gold frame that never makes contact, and four tuners to place every wrap exactly where you want it.
Four fine tuners
Four adjustment points along the frame let you dial in cord placement and response, then lock it there. Your setup stays exactly as you left it, session after session.
Cord tested by Mars
High-tensile cordage drawn from aerospace exploration, including NASA’s Mars rover landing systems. It was built to carry enormous load without stretching or fatiguing — so your tension never creeps between reed changes.
It learns your mouthpiece
The cord gradually memorizes your mouthpiece’s contour, settling into the shape that mounts fastest and sounds best. The H4G gets better the longer you play it.
Zero added mass
Only cord meets the mouthpiece — the gold frame never does. Nothing is added to the mouthpiece’s mass, so it resonates exactly the way its maker designed it to.
Three-layer coating
Developed on top of the space cord, for four gains:
- Absorbs no sound energy — nothing of your tone is lost to the cord
- Glides across the mouthpiece surface without marking it
- Stronger than steel cord, with zero stretch or breakage
- Lasts decades, and cleans with ordinary kitchen soap
How it plays
In playing tests, the four-cord H Frame came back balanced, free-blowing, open, and highly resonant — the greatest sense of reed freedom of any configuration
tested, and very even across all registers.
Against the silver H4S, the gold frame draws out noticeably more overtones, for a darker, rounder sound.
