The special design of our unique lip plate allows for instant adaptation of your metal headjoint to our wooden headjoint. The different radius of our lip plate minimize air resistance and provide excellent comfort for the chin.

Our embouchure is manufactured respecting the different angles developed by master maker Albert Cooper. This facilitates sound projection and tonging, while allowing the production of the wide range of timbres typical of the flute.

Lavoie professional headjoints are made from knot-free pieces of wood that have been dried for over 5 years. The rings and post are made of sterling silver, ensuring durability and elegance.

All symphonic headjoints come with a heavy crown and heavy stopper, which ensure a powerful sound with projection similar to that of a silver or gold head, without altering the warmth of a wooden flute. You can also transform the tone of your flute by changing your heavy stopper/crown system* for our lightweight system. This allows for a very warm sound typical of wooden flutes, ideal for a more discreet music repertoire.
