Beginning with an extended percussion feature, the piece gradually builds by adding voices into a rock-like feel. The groove is interrupted a few times by the wind players clapping a response figure before breaking into an unexpected samba feel for the rest of the piece. This energetic Latin tune features low voices, an improvised alto solo, and lots of percussion. This is truly something different to program and a fun way to showcase your drummers.
